Gerald’s career with Krahn Friesen Neufeld goes back to the very beginning of the firm in 1982.
With a degree in Commerce from the University of Manitoba, Gerald began his articling with the original founders of the firm, Ernie Krahn and Jake Friesen. He became a Chartered Accountant in 1985. It was in this environment that Gerald understood the value of providing clients with personalized and highly professional service. This formula has resulted in continuous growth in the firm so that today, as the senior partner, Gerald looks forward to the continued growth and success of the firm in the future.
“I’ve learned that the formula for success in the world of public accounting is not that difficult…if you enjoy what you do, you will instil that joy and desire to serve in your co-workers. That, in turn, will attract the best clients…not by complex strategies and marketing campaigns, but simply by word of mouth and it has worked. I am proud to say that KFN, after all these years, is still an enjoyable place to work. I wouldn’t hesitate to say that we have together built the foundations for a truly great firm. We have a tremendous new building to work in along with amazing partners, the best staff and wonderful clients…what more could I ask for…I have been blessed.”
Away from the office, Gerald enjoys traveling with his wife Arlene, fishing with his brothers and camping with his children and grand-children. Some of Gerald’s hobbies include reading, oil painting, cooking and writing.
